Natural Jewel Turnersee

search and book

The very best water of the popular Southern Carinthia lakes! Guests having a dip here can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Karawanken mountains.

Turnersee, which is also a Natura 2000 protected area, is considered a nature bathing paradise, treasured by guests for decades thanks to its originality.

Just like its neighbour, Klopeiner See, Turnersee is among the warmest bathing lakes in Europe, with water temperatures in summer climbing to 28 degrees Celsius. Covering a total of 44.2 hectares, the idyllic bathing lake with water so clean it is drinkable, is a particular must for guests in search of peace and relaxation.

The public bath lies to the north of the lake and features a 1,000 m² wide meadow with natural shaded areas, a spacious playground and a sunny terrace with a fantastic view of the Hochobir and Mount Petzen.

Turnersee is part of the district of St. Kanzian on Klopeiner See and includes Grabelsdorf, Horzach II, Lanzendorf, Lauchenholz, Mökriach, Nageltschach, Obersammelsdorf, St. Primus, St. Veit in the Jaun Valley, Unternarrach and Vesielach.

Tip: Sablatnigmoor invites you on a range of individual and guided discovery tours. The Ramsar nature reserve at Sablatnigmoor is home to more than 170 different bird species, 1,700 species of animals and more than 300 plant species
