Tour tip – Petzen Tour: From the Lake Pirkdorfer See car park, the gravel path leads along the foot of the Ferrakogel towards Pirkdorf; from there take the asphalt road through fields and meadows via Wackendorf to Globasnitz. From there take the asphalt road which bends off to the left then rises slightly, to the southern edge of the village of Podrain. From Podrain a gravel path leads uphill through the high forest, subsequently rising sharply up to the Luscha-Sattel and then again falling gently via the Luschaalm to the Alpine border crossing. We reach the Slovenian Topla Valley at a rapid pace. At the Sumel farm building we follow the road to the left. In gently rolling terrain we ride still following the River Meza until the turning for Crna. We take a left turn and crossing the elevation point 1035 we reach the Raunjak border crossing. From the Raunjak border crossing the asphalt road leads downhill through the high forest to the turning by the church of St. George. From there we turn left over the bridge and then go slightly uphill to the Podrietschnig farm building. From there we drop down to the elevation point 530. Continue through the forest on the gravel road until it joins the Petzenstrasse road, then along the asphalt side road via Feistritz to Lake Pirkdorfer See.
