Here you can not fail to be captivated by the unspoilt natural beauty. With the Petzen cable car you can travel up to 1,708 metres above sea level, where an impressive view of the Jaun Valley and the mountains, hills and lakes of Southern Carinthia awaits you.
There is a wide range of leisure options on the Petzen and in the Petzenland region, ranging from hiking in the mountains, climbing and mountaineering via mountain biking and cycling through to a tandem flight by paraglider.
For hiking, above all the 2,126 metre Kordeschkopf and the 2,114 metre Feistritzer Spitze are inviting, as these are the highest peaks in the mighty limestone massif.
If you like things rather more comfortable and sociable, then try getting together in an Alpine lodge for a traditional hearty “Jause” snack with a glorious view and unspoilt nature.
During the summer months there is always something going on with the numerous performances and events – including traditional festivities such as the midsummer festival and the St. Anna Alpine Church Day on 24 July.
